Suncoast Surfrider Teams up with SUPPaddleBoard.com
Volunteers Needed: Suncoast Surfrider Foundation needs your help! We
need help with running our 8am-12noon beach clean-up and tabling event,
behind “The Postcard Inn” on St Pete Beach, Saturday, July 16, 2011.
Event Information: We will be supporting the Stand Up Paddle Board Race, which
you may participate in: Please read below to find out what you would need to do
if you have an interest in participating in the race. The beach clean-up will be an
all morning affair. We will provide reusable bags for the volunteers to use.

The SUP Splash St. Pete Beach Race features some of the best paddling areas in Florida. Part
of the SUP Splash Series, this race spans the coast of Pinellas county, featuring St. Pete Beach
and Treasure Island. There will be divisions for paddleboard, SUP, Outrigger Canoe, and SurfSki
at this race. SUP and prone paddleboard divisions will be the approved WPA categories. The
race will include a 6-mile Elite race and a 3-mile short-course. (Surfski and OC’s may do a
longer course). The course will most likely be offshore, depending on conditions.
This is a WPA Sanctioned Event (Region 11, Mid-South)

Race Start: 9 a.m. – Mandatory race meeting at 8:45 a.m.
(Beach Cleanup with Surfrider Foundation starts at 8:00 a.m.)
