Do you hate red tide?
Do you want to help reduce the nutrients that feed harmful algae blooms?
Now is your chance! Hillsborough County is set to hear public input and vote on a fertilizer ordinance like the one’s passed in Pinellas County, Lee County, and Sarasota. The fertilizer lobby will be out in force so it’s VERY important to have as many people as possible there that care about the health of our waterways.
Thursday June 10th at 9am, County Center, 2nd floor boardroom, 601 E. Kennedy, downtown Tampa
***UPDATE*** 6/10/10 3:30PM
The commissioners decided to delay the vote until the next meeting. They will debate and vote but NOT take public comment. It is VERY important to make your voice heard. Go HERE and write the commissioners urging them to ban the use of nitrogen based fertilizers during the summer rainy season.
