The Perry Harvey Sr, Park Skate Bowl aka "Bro Bowl" was built in 1978 and is one of the world's oldest and last remaining skateparks of the 70's surf-style era. Our chapter was approached last Spring by the Skateboarding Heritage Foundation when it was being threatened to be demolished by the City of Tampa. We helped to create and share a petition that obtained over 2,300 signatures to help "Save the Bro Bowl." This campaign was successful, as the "Bro Bowl" was recently listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Although it's fate and ultimate location remains unknown at this time, we will continue to work with our surf/skate community in preservation efforts. Thank you for all of your support! http://www.skateboardingheritage.org
